Common Factor Tutoring

This activity accompanies the book, Balloons Over Broadway, written by Melissa Sweet. The book describes the true story of the puppeteer behind Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. These math problems correspond to details on each set of pages in the book. The word problems are one- and two-steps, and concepts include: elapsed time, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

This is a writing assignment that can be used for students who have learned about myths/fables. It includes a direction page, graphic organizer, checklist for grading, sample paragraph, and picture examples. The checklist can be edited to suit your priorities and what you want your students to focus on most for writing. Another version will soon be posted that is more related to science and informational writing.

This is a sample of a Google slides presentation to get an idea of the quality of my work. I've included word problems with basic multiplication, addition, and subtraction problems for 3rd graders. The numbers can easily be adjusted to increase or decrease the difficulty level.
