Writing is one of those curricular areas that most teachers shake their heads and admit they wish they could do a better job with teaching writing. The problem is that writing is personal, we encourage students to find their voice and every voice is different which means that how we approach writing will be different for every student. It took me a while to get students to write. I have tried many programs and all of them have had some success, but did not build the type of writers I was looking

Use this engaging math activity to reinforce how to find the rule from a table, graph, or coordinated points. Student answers will vary so have students share out their work at the end of the class for everyone's benefit. This is ideal to use as a review of concepts before an assessment by having student rotate through centers to find the rule in a variety of ways.
