Experience
I have been teaching full-time in the elementary school system for 18years. I have taught all grades from one through six, but most of my experience has been in grade 6 and grade 3. My passion and love is math and language! In addition to loving working with my students, I also love collaborating with my team and other teachers.
Teaching style
I approach teaching my class with the same philosophy as raising my own children. I hope to inspire my students to learn; engage and challenge them; and encourage them to become independent, risk-taking problem solvers. I believe that beyond teaching them the content of subjects, it is my duty to teach them skills that will allow them to become successful citizens.
My own education history
I received my B.Ed from Ottawa University, following my undergraduate degree from Brock University. I have completed both my Reading Specialist and Math Specialist, Intermediate and Special Education Qualifications.
