Teaching style
As a preschool teacher, I focus on creating a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment where young children feel safe to explore and grow. My teaching style blends hands-on activities with creative play, fostering both cognitive development and social-emotional learning. I prioritize routines and classroom organization to support independence and encourage curiosity, while lesson planning emphasizes early literacy, numeracy, and motor skills through interactive, age-appropriate activities. I believe in nurturing each child's unique abilities, promoting a love of learning from an early age.
Additional biographical information
I am a preschool teacher, living in Riverton, CT with my husband, two boys, our dog, and a small flock of chickens. I’m passionate about nurturing early childhood development through creative play and organized learning environments. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time outdoors with my family, caring for our chickens, getting involved in community activities, and designing helpful resources for fellow educators.
