Additional biographical information

I do not teach to have summer vacations, steady hours, or an “easy” job. I teach because I believe students are our future. To be a teacher means bringing your work home, learning new strategies, learning from your students, and giving yourself fully to the students that enter your classroom. I teach to make a difference in those students’ lives. I teach to push my limits and to set goals for my students. Teaching, to me, is a lifestyle, not a career choice.
