These skills include using the format painter, cover pages, tables, shapes with text, inserting and editing pictures, symbols, columns, and use of margins and tab stops. The Word lesson plan includes directions for the teacher, a practice file for the students, sample completed work, rough draft instructions and a final grading rubric.

This fun hands-on activity will allow students to create a country and then participate in an international trading session with their classmates. Students will then calculate the balance of trade, balance of payments and decide on countries to have tariffs, embargos and more. The file is a Word document, but the assignment is designed as a Google Doc so that students can imbed drawings. I included a link to the Google Doc in the Word document.
