Conjuring Lessons

This worksheet has questions related to simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, onomatopoeia, alliteration, idiom, and allusion. Each type of figurative language has a definition question where students must match the term to the definition. Each type of figurative language includes three example questions. Edit to suit your needs; administer as an assignment or a test.

Students are presented with a photo and the challenge to create a short story based on the photo while implementing the figurative language they have learned. This allows them to put figurative language into practice.
