About the store
I've taught in traditional schools, alternative education centers, been a private tutor, and assisted families with homeschool. I've spent my teaching career finding new ways to interest students in learning and exploring their interests and abilities. Over the last few years I've formed curriculum that focuses on learners' interests and finding ways to relate those interests to lessons. Learners and families are especially interested in the ways I integrate math and nature to help them see how the tools learned in math can help us better understand the natural world.

Teaching style

I work either one-on-one or with small groups, which allows me to adapt my teaching to each individual learner. I assess and adjust my plans as I go, adapting to whatever my student needs.

My own education history

I have a teaching degree and was a licensed teacher in MN for many years. I also took several credits toward a master's degree in special education.
