Core Math Studio

Hi! I’m Juan Escobar, the creator of Core Math Studio. I’ve been involved in K–12 education since 2012 through teaching, tutoring, and curriculum development. When I realized how much well-designed spiral review helped my own students, I began creating materials that blended rigor, clarity, and strong standards alignment. That work became Core Math Studio — a place for math resources that support both teachers and students with clean design, intentional practice, and meaningful learning. Everything here is built to make teaching more manageable and to help students grow with confidence.

My teaching style is grounded in purposeful challenge, clear structure, and identity-conscious practices. I believe that all students can thrive in mathematics when instruction honors who they are, invites them to think independently, and gives them space to make meaningful discoveries. In my classrooms, learning is driven by strong routines, clearly stated goals, and opportunities for students to engage deeply with ideas before we refine and formalize them together. I use visuals, modeling, and reflection to help students understand not just what we’re doing, but why it matters. Core Math Studio reflects this philosophy: resources that are clear, intentional, and designed to build confidence through consistent practice and thoughtful reinforcement. The goal is always the same — high expectations, accessible entry points, and a learning experience where every student can see themselves as a capable mathematician.
