This project allows students to work in groups to explore various aspects about a country (think wildlife and vegetation etc.) and think about how the country's climate and weather affect those things! They research, write, and film themselves reporting on this information in the format of a news or weather broadcast to share with their peers. Rubric included.

In order for students to be able to learn about cultures and traditions around the world, they must first understand their own culture and family traditions. This newspaper writing activity allows students to talk to a parent or adult at home about their own family history and traditions in order to help them better understand their own culture.
