While studying world cultures in social studies, it's important to learn about the religions that populate our world. This project is a mini research project that culminates in a slideshow class presentation of their work. I had my students do this project individually, but it could also be done in groups.
This project is inspired by the TV show "Shark Tank". It asks students to use what they've learned about South American countries and then dive deeply into one of the social, economic, or environmental issues present in the country of their choosing. Once they've completed their research, they put on their entrepreneurial hats and come up with a solution to that issue by creating and pitching a product of their own invention.
