About the store

I am entering my 7th year of teaching special education this year. During this time, I have taught several different subjects such as: English 1-4, STAAR test prep, Content Mastery, Algebra I, Algebraic Reasoning, Social Emotional Learning, and Social Skills. I am currently a behavior teacher for the special education department and as a result, I have excellent data taking skills! I love making materials for teachers to use to differentiate instruction to students at various levels with various needs! If you are needing something specific, please let me know.

We used this resource to teacher our resource special education students about interviewing for jobs. Walk through this with your students, then set up mock interviews where they can practice these skills! I choose other teachers who volunteer on their conference so that they aren't too comfortable with the person they're interviewing with.

Use this editable template to have students paraphrase and gauge their comprehension of a novel, short story, text, play, etc. The students will select the picture that best represents the specific part of the story (each part is labelled for you or you can edit it to match the lesson of your choice). This is a quiz I have used for years for resource English students in 9th - 12th grade when going over Poetry units. This poem is typically within the curriculum, but even if it isn't... It helps students break down poetry. First, we read, discuss, and annotate the poem together. You can use some of these questions as talking points. Then after, the students can take this quiz to gauge their understanding of the different elements of poetry.

This can be used to prepare for student mock interviews. I usually teach the power point (in my shop!!), then give students these questions after to independently answer. For the lower students, if they need to use the powerpoint to answer these that is fine! If they need to use their completed (and teacher reviewed) answers during their mock interview / interview practice, that is even better!
