A set of cards with number splits resulting in two numbers for part-part-whole work. Every number split from 3 - 20 is included. Answers are printed on the back of the card, and the file is set up for easy double-sided printing. Fluency with number splits in the single digits and teen numbers is essential to free up brain space for bridging through tens in addition and subtraction. A slideshow with dot patterns for subitizing. Patterns range from single groupings to multiple groupings. The intention is for children to verbalise what they saw, eg "3 dots in a horizontal line" or "one dot in each corner and one in the middle". As patterns become more complex children will see them in different ways, and the teacher can annotate on the slide accordingly. This builds children's library of mental objects for numbers. Designed to be used over a number of days, and editable for a
