I designed this ruler for my students and they use it everyday to talk about the weather. Vocabulary: windy / cloudy / rainy / snowy / sunny. Everyday one student holds his/her ruler and ask: how is the weather? And he/she moves the ruler-window and tell the friends "It's _____ today". The window has the grey rectangle for sticking and you have to cut out the smallest rectangle to create the window itself. Check the preview picture for details. Let's talk about the weather? Use the Montessori approach and let them produce their own material to learn! These cards can be colored and laminated for a lifelong tool for your lessons. There are 7 cards: sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy and hot/cold. And it can also be used to practice scissors skills an creativity, by coloring/painting or children can glue things on them (cloud - cotton, sun - colored paper, etc).

This puzzle is a great activity for the little ones practice their scissors' skills. They can turn it into a lovely Valentine's card after they're done.
