About the store
Crafted for Learning creates simple, practical tools for real families and classrooms. As a special education teacher and parent to a son with Autism, I design resources that support learning, behavior, and are easy to use in the moment! These tools are made to be easy to use, flexible, and actually help kids who need something different. Teachers don’t have extra time spend hours making something new to try that may or may not work. Let me take the guess work out. These items are things that work in my classroom and my home every day!

Teaching style

I truly believe all children can learn when given the right tools! First a student has to know they are loved and safe before they will try hard things. Once a solid relationship is built, that’s when progress will happen.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My biggest win is working with a student that many felt like should be in a self contained classroom setting, make so much progress in the first year I worked with her that she no longer qualified!

My own education history

I went to undergrad for Elementary Education, but then decided to go into ministry. I was a kids and youth pastor for 11 years. After having my own son who was non-verbal and diagnosed with autism start school, I knew I needed to become a special education teacher. I am currently working on my masters in special education.

Additional biographical information

We live in central Ky on a “farm” with many different animals including goats, chickens, cats, and dogs. We love being outside and believe kids learn best through play and movement!
