This activity allows students to move around the room while estimating square roots! Place the question cards around the room and have students find the answers on another question. This activity includes 16 scavenger hunt questions, instructions, an activity sheet, and an answer key!
This is an engaging hands-on activity for students in that they can design composite figures with shapes and then create their own figures! Students will then calculate the area and perimeter of each figure.
This PowerPoint includes 40 questions with engaging transitions on evaluating square roots, estimating square roots, identifying two integers that the square root comes between, and plotting square roots on a number line. Students can answer the questions using white boards or calling the answers out loud.
