This is a short design template that you can use and adapt for almost any design product. Students work through the design process: empathy, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In addition, a general rubric is attached that can be modified. You can upload this to your Google Drive and then have students use digital drawings and sketches as well.
Have you recently set up a Maker-space? Do your students understand how to use the basic tools? This short lesson is a digital scavenger hunt designed to familiarize them with general hand tools found in a maker-space. Students use websites to find a tool, then include a photo of it along with a description of its use. Good introduction activity. This also includes a possible digital journal your students can use for daily reflections.
