End of year letter to parent.
This is a letter to send to student's parents at the end of the year telling them how well their student did in class. You replace the word "name" with the student's first name and it makes it personable. Print out and send it to the parents.

First day of school T-shirt Project.
Students create a T-shirt from tagboard and then with a digital camera a picture of them is connected to the T-shirt and put on the wall for all their classmates to get to know them.

Battleship... sink or be sunk!!!
This is a game on paper that can be played with two students at their desk. Print out a sheet for each student and have them play against one another. I have tournaments where the winner gets to play the teacher. A lot of fun and is a great introduction to graphing.

On the smartboard you will show 6 playing cards to your audience. They will then pick a card and on the next screen their card will no longer be on the screen.
This is a great way to introduce lessons where they need to be very good at seeing what they are looking at and concentraiting on a subject.
