Many students experience anxiety before big tests, performances, or presentations. Giving them encouragement cards from their loved ones can help ease this anxiety while offering words of support to inspire them to do their best and remind them that others are cheering them on. Orthographic mapping is the cognitive process of permanently encoding words for quick and easy recall. It connects the sounds (phonemes) and spellings (graphemes) of a word with its visual form.
