Experience

I am a bilingual certified teacher in Texas. I write Science curriculum for grades PK-6 for my district and am a district staff development presenter focusing on Science and English Language Learners.

Teaching style

As a teacher, I provide a fun and enriching environment that enables my students to have a growing desire to become lifelong learners. I employ structure in my classroom using routines and procedures to help my students feel comfortable and confident. Students learn from each other if given an environment that balances structure and interactive learning. My classroom environment encourages academic interaction, discussion, and inquiry. Effective learning requires collaboration between the teacher, students, and parents grounded in mutual respect and trust. It is my goal to improve student achievement with quality instruction that prepares our children to influence the future. Watching the children as their light bulbs illuminate is the greatest reward of all.
