Fridge, Freezer, or Pantry? Sorting Groceries

This small group or independent work activity makes it possible for students to sort pictures of different food and beverage items into 3 groups: fridge, freezer, and pantry. There is also an option to sort only refrigerated and pantry items. Printed pictures of a refrigerator, freezer, and pantry serve as three sorting groups. Food and beverage items should be cut out and sorted into the groups.

Teaching style

Teaching should be fun, hands-on, and within the child's zone of proximal development. It is our job as teachers to differentiate every standard and lesson to meet each child's abilities and needs. Students should be involved in setting goals for their education.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, NBCT. I have also received honors from ETS, Praxis Series, for scoring within the top percent of all teachers who have taken the Praxis II.

My own education history

I have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education.
