Creating to Teach

This is a sheet of Smiley Scholar Dollars. Use these as a behavior management tool in your classroom. Children love to earn dollars and it makes a great math lesson at the end of the week! I use pencils, erasers and other inexpensive items as prizes. You can also use free coupons for children to redeem. for something as simple as lunch with the teacher or 15 minute free computer time :)

This short book has a lot of pictures of community helpers. Create a chart on chart paper and have children match the name to the picture. Then use this child friendly book to have them fill in on their own with the chart as a guide. Finally, on the last page, your students will have the opportunity to fill in the sentence :When I grow up I want to be a-----, and they can draw a picture of themselves in the frame provided.
