As a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience, I've worn many hats in the field of education. From my beginnings as a classroom teacher to my roles as an instructional coach and Teaching and Learning Facilitator, I've consistently strived to create, inspire, and learn. My journey has primarily focused on nurturing young minds in grades K-3, evolving into my current position as a Teaching and Learning Facilitator and curriculum writer for our ELA district curriculum. Throughout my career, I've honed my expertise through diverse professional development opportunities. Serving as a studio teacher for the Mathematics Teacher Development Group and becoming a writing teacher consultant with the Oregon Writing Project have enriched my skills. I have also earned a micro-credential in the Science of Reading through Drexel University. My dedication to excellence extends beyond formal training. I am deeply invested in researching best practices, staying abreast of educational trends, and crafting engaging lessons. Sharing successful strategies and ideas with fellow educators brings me immense joy. For me, teaching isn't just a profession; it's a passion. Born, raised, and educated in Oregon, I am a wife and mother of two. Besides teaching, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life such as spending quality time with my family, indulging in reading, and engaging in various creative writing projects. My hobbies include crafting and exploring new culinary delights through cooking.
