I began teaching at a very young age. It all first started at a small hole-in-the-wall, art school on Calle Ocho. This is where I fell in love with oil painting. I also enjoyed being around other students who wanted to build their skills in art. The owners of this small school acknowledged my talent and heart for young students and eventually hired me when I was 14. I have yet to leave the education career. I found a job as a childcare art teacher after school at a prestige private school. I learned a lot of teaching skills but wanted to do more. I wanted to work with students in need. As soon as I received my Bachelors degree I was hired into the public school system of Miami-Dade. I worked at my first school for 4 years and I taught middle school art and yearbook. This was the most extraordinary experience in my life. It was difficult and made me cry tears of joy and stress, but I found my true passion and had succeeded in finding the best career for me. I am now at a new school teaching both elementary and middle art. I moved up north and I am now more serous than ever in helping teachers with instruction and emotional support.
