I've worked in education for 7 years. I have taught 3rd grade, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. Currently I am teaching 1st grade which is my favorite! Helping students learn not only how to read, write, add, and subtract, but more importantly how to be a good student and friend. I absolutely love my job!

Teaching style

I've been told I'm very calm and even keeled. I don't always feel that way! I really enjoy teaching and I like to make connections with the students. I think it's important for them to know you truly care about them and how they do. I like to create a classroom that's fun, very organized, and where students feel comfortable sharing answers and ideas even if they aren't correct or are different.
