I have been teaching for over 20 years. I started out in 2nd grade, moved to 5th, 4th and now I have been in 3rd grade for over 13 years. I have been lucky to work with many different teacher who have been in different places in their careers. I have learned so much from each and every one of them. During my career I have co-taught with 5 different special education teachers. I love when other teachers work in my classroom. It opens my eyes up to new/different strategies/styles.

Telling Time
Are you looking for a fun way to practice telling time? This is a lesson that includes Kagan's Jot Thoughts and Numbered Heads Together. Both activities require 100 % student participation. Don't worry if you aren't familiar with these 2 Kagan structures. Directions are included.

Time Check Post Its
Are you working with your students on telling time? This document is made into Post Its that are easy to attach to the students' desks and use throughout the day.
You can stop what you are doing 4 times throughout the day and call out "time check". The students will write down the time on the Post It. You can collect them and check or you can go over the times as a class.

My own education history
I have my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College (a teaching college in Buffalo, NY). I have my masters in reading k-12 from there as well.
