Sensory Wall

Get your students moving as they go down the hallway. Many schools have started making sensory pathways for walking on but they do not have the students use their upper body. To help get the whole body moving use this visuals to create a sensory wall. This is much cheaper than your 3-D sensory walls and easier to have throughout your school.

My school has become much more strict with cell phone use. In order to allow students in my life skills class to still utilize their phones for things like using a calculator, setting alarms, using calendar, making phone calls, practicing texting, and other tools on their phone. I created a poster to show my class and my administration when cell phones are not to be used or when they can't be used.

I have had several years of students who without much support did everything they should to be a good team player. This year I had a few students added to my class who have been showing me no respect and don’t take my class seriously. So I decided to make my class more like other classes that students take and add in some classwork and not just focus on my curriculum for Unified PE. This assessment is a great way for me to measure inappropriate classroom behavior from multiple perspectives.

Print out the writing prompt. This recipe card can be utilized for a variety of learners. It can be used as a step by step writing prompt. It can also be utilized as a way to gain prior knowledge before having your life skills class read a recipe and make a pie. I used it as a way for my students to share what their favorite pie was and to see if they know what sort of ingredients it takes to make a pie.
