I have been an educator since 2003. I began as a classroom teacher and I have taught Mathematics from Grade 5 - Algebra 1, and Science Grades 5 - 8. Currently I am a Mathematics Instructional Coach working primarily with grades K - Algebra 1. I am also a visiting Professor for Miami University where I teach methods classed in elementary mathematics education.

The game of Polygon Capture is an engaging activity which helps students identify and analyze characteristics of 2-dimensional shapes. In this activity students must choose figures according to a pair of characteristics. By choosing polygons according to these properties, students have a chance to analyze the properties and how they correlate. This game is intended for 2 or more players.
