Creative Minds

This project is used in the fourth quarter for students in upper elementary. Students participate in a reward system that features practice with decimal computation. Each week students earn a pseudo salary with options to earn bonuses. Expenses are incurred weekly as well as for infractions to classroom and schools rules. These may be modified or adapted to fit varying classroom environments. At the end of the quarter, students use the money earned to purchase items in a year-end auction. These

Students use a baby photo, strike a pose for a photo shoot in the present, and imagine what they might be in the future. Using the photos and their sketch of their likeness in the future, students create a tri-fold display with accompanying written descriptions.
