Used with the book Last Stop on Market Street by Matt De La Peña. This is geared for kdg and 1st grade. The worksheet provides a chart comparing and contrasting how CJ and Grandma felt over the same situations in the book. On the second page, readers are asked to support their opinion on what they believe the Moral of the story is.

Students have to pop-up and down when they hear their name mentioned. It keeps the kids hyper focused because they don’t want to miss the opportunity to “Pop-up”. This contains visual cards so kids don't forget which character they have been assigned.

I use this with my computer classes. I have adapted it so that it can be printed out and used without the computer. Excel labels their columns with letters and rows with numbers so those are the coordinates that I have used.
I use this with my technology integration classes when we begin spreadsheets. I've adapted it a bit so that you can use it in print version or you can use it in spreadsheet version. Spreadsheets use A, B, C for their column names and 1, 2, 3 for their row names so this is created with those coordinates in mind.
I use this with my computer courses when introducing spreadsheets. Spreadsheets label columns with the alphabet and rows with numbers so these are the coordinates listed. I did make the spreadsheet template printable for use off of the computer at a center etc.
3 templates. First one has title and definition of genres.
Second one has title, definition and a space for students to write appropriate matching titles, Third one has just the title written and space for a title or for characteristics of each genre to be written.
A simple creation of dewey decimal numbers for students to use when practicing their dewey decimal skills. Have them paste the cards on another sheet or just organize on the table in front of them. Whole numerals to two after the decimal provided.
This worksheet is based upon the book I Am Trying To Love Spiders by Bethany Barton. After reading the book students are asked to decide if 8 statements are true or false. If true they paste the facts onto a pre-created web. If false they paste the fact on a worksheet and then are asked to rewrite the statement to make it true.
This is designed to be used with a spreadsheet. It has been arranged for print out use as well. Spreadsheets use the alphabet to label their columns and numbers to label their rows.
