About the store
I have been teaching elementary art in an Urban School district in Ohio since 2003. In 2006, I was asked to help write the curriculum for the district's elementary art department. Then in 2007, I was asked to clean up all of the curriculum lessons and appendices, create a timeline and integrate standards. In the following years I streamlined timelines for the rest of the visual art department. Through this process, I discovered my love of technology and how valuable it was in my own teaching style. Throughout the years I have created my own worksheets and handouts on the computer for students because the copier was jammed or there was a long line. Or simply there wasn't a worksheet out there so I created my own. I have been told that teachers could use what I make so I hope my work benefits your lessons and teaching.

Ed Emberley's Picture Pie is a book of images created by pie fractions. I have always wanted to do an art lesson using pie fractions. Also my third grade teachers have stated that students have trouble understanding fractions and adding them.

Computer Cover & Infomation Worksheet
Give students this cover and fill out form to create their own research and computer notebook. Hole punch and use fasteners to add handouts, worksheets, and lessons (available in my store).
Students can color the cover while they wait for further instructions in the lab. Then students keep their user name, password, and website information in the second form. Keep them organized and you sane.

Teaching style
There must be a balance of foundation and play. I design lessons to challenge students to solve problems, design, create and at the same time give them confidence and awareness of the world around them.

My own education history
I have a Bachelors and Masters of Art Education from The Ohio State University.
With the educational changes from standards to common core, and focus on project-based learning, I have participated in numerous professional learning on how to incorporate SCIENCE, MATH, and TECHNOLOGY in art lessons without losing the ART. Hence STEAM.
