About the store
I have been teaching elementary art in an Urban School district in Ohio since 2003. In 2006, I was asked to help write the curriculum for the district's elementary art department. Then in 2007, I was asked to clean up all of the curriculum lessons and appendices, create a timeline and integrate standards. In the following years I streamlined timelines for the rest of the visual art department. Through this process, I discovered my love of technology and how valuable it was in my own teaching style. Throughout the years I have created my own worksheets and handouts on the computer for students because the copier was jammed or there was a long line. Or simply there wasn't a worksheet out there so I created my own. I have been told that teachers could use what I make so I hope my work benefits your lessons and teaching.

So you want to make sure your students are prepared and are retaining the basics of Microsoft Word before you take them to the computer lab? Or you want them to have a cheat sheet they can refer to while they are working on their document? Give them one or more of the Microsoft Word worksheets that I have created. Experience

I have been teaching elementary art in an Urban School district in Ohio since 2003. In 2006, I was asked to help write the curriculum for the district's elementary art department. Then in 2007, I was asked to clean up all of the curriculum lessons and appendices, create a timeline and integrate standards. Throughout the years I have created my own worksheets and handouts on the computer for students because the copier was jammed or there was a long line. Or simply there wasn't a worksheet out there so I created my own. I have been told that teachers could use what I make so I hope my work benefits your lessons and teaching.

Teaching style

There must be a balance of foundation and play. I design lessons to challenge students to solve problems, design, create and at the same time give them confidence and awareness of the world around them.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My students' work have been selected three years in a row by two different art contests. 1. Friends of the Ravines. "Frog Kingdom" (http://www.friendsoftheravines.org/) 2. Port of Columbus's art galleries (http://flycolumbus.com/at-port-columbus/art-displays/). In 2011, I had the privilege and honor to create CCS Unified Art's webpage. http://unifiedarts.columbus.k12.oh.us/visualarts/visual-art

My own education history

I have a Bachelors and Masters of Art Education from The Ohio State University. With the educational changes from standards to common core, and focus on project-based learning, I have participated in numerous professional learning on how to incorporate SCIENCE, MATH, and TECHNOLOGY in art lessons without losing the ART. Hence STEAM.
