I am nothing if not eclectic.
I have taught in private schools in the US, Vietnam, and Ecuador, as well as at a university in Mexico.
As a Washington State native, I continually revisit my roots. Recently, I had the pleasure of teaching at an IB Private school in Bellevue.
Previously, I taught Language Arts in Arizona.
I have also taught Adult Education in Grant writing, reading, the ACT & TOEFL test taking, and writing fiction.
I am currently a PHD student at California Institute of Integral Studies where we consider the spaces where the intersectionality of thought systems can coexist in conversation.

This presentation provides you with an introduction to xicana women, their art, their work, and the history of their movement within US borders since 1900. To know a person is to understand how they call themselves, and most of the terminology is related to this understanding. The evlolution of self-understaning is complex. MYP IB Historical Fiction Writing Summative
Bundled MYP writing Summative Includes Powerpoint for conducting class activities Lesson PlanHandouts (18 pages) Rubric Criteria a, b, c, d This assignment was conducted in both a traditional classroom as well as a Microsoft OneNote hybrid course. Students enjoyed having a choice as to whether they could use the forms in one note, or write them in pencil. They liked sharing updates with their peers on interesting facts that were researching about times and places at least 20 years in the past.

Writing Historical Fiction Summative
Students will write a historical fiction story, demonstrating their understanding of story elements as well as research skills to create an authentic historical experience for the reader. Timeline: students had 2 weeks to research, write, edit, peer review, and submit a final. This summative assignment uses an example snippet historical text: Fever from 1793 and contains questions as well as example slides of how to research a historical event. (You can use whatever text you prefer.) Directions
