In this hands-on science activity, students will explore the properties of objects by sorting picture cards based on how they feel— hard or soft. After sorting, they will match the picture cards to written clues that describe texture (e.g., "Find the object that is soft and yellow" → baby chick). There is even a cut and paste activity that you can use as a grade. This activity helps develop observation skills and introduces students to early physical science concepts.
