It has two diagrams used for analysis, inlcuded a diagram that illustrates the different taxonomic groups and a chart that compares the taxa of 4 different animals. There is also a very simple dichotomous key included to introduce the concept. This was created using North Carolina 2024 Biology standards.

I use this when I begin my unit on Heredity. I give them some background about Mendel, and add a few notes to the margin. I then describe the seed color experiment. I have them color the female and male parent peas to start. After coloring the parents, we complete the terms definitions and then use them in discussion to color the rest. Finish by drawing some Punnett Squares in the margins.
