Pizza Glyph Craftivity to Teach Shapes and Fractions
(CCSS Aligned)

This is a fun way to teach shapes and fractions to students.
As students read through the glyph, they get to choose pieces to create a pizza. The shapes include pepperoni circles, rectangular cheese, triangle meat, and square pineapples. After creating this craft, students can then work on MD4, and create a bar graph based on data from the pizza creativity. I have included questions at the bottom of the craft to he
Shape Bat Craftivity- CCSS Aligned
This is a fun way to teach shapes and fractions to first graders.
Students can trace the shapes to make a bat or you can have the shapes already cut out for your students. I have also included a bat's habitat project too (rectangles, squares, and half-circle). There is even a foldable door where students can open it up and write down an informational fact they've learned about a bat's habitat (cave).

iPad Lesson from Creatively Crazy With Learning {Common Core Math, shapes, fractions, and graphing) This lesson goes along with the free app called Pattern Shapes. Samples are included, detailed directions for teacher and students. This is a fun and engaging way to integrate technology in the classroom.
