How To Recipe Writing
Great way to begin or end the school year! My students "ate up" this creative, adaptable and fun Common Core "how to" writing unit - which includes everything you need. Students loved acting out the verbs to Louie Prima's catchy song about building an outrageous banana split. Unit incorporates drama/charades, art, music, writing, grammar, and cooperative learning. Student learn important writing concepts (nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, exaggeration, revising, editing, peer work).
