I am an Ontario teacher with ten years of experience. I have taught a variety of subjects (e.g., Math, Literacy, Social Studies, Science, Health, Art, Gym) and grades (Kindergarten to Grade 8). My experience has taught me the value of creating cross-curricular units of study. Cross-curricular units have helped me cover a variety of expectations at once while also encouraging deeper and meaningful learning connections. I hope you see these cross-curricular connections embedded into many of my resources!

I believe in a balance between hands-on activities that allow students to explore, independent practice and use of 21st century learning skills (e.g., collaboration, critical thinking). The combination of these creates a well-rounded student while also allowing children the opportunity to explore their interests and reach their potential. To balance home and school life, I work to create organizational systems that help keep me on track! These organizational systems help me with keep track of content to be covered and effective ways to provide regular feedback for students.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies, a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education.

When I am not busy thinking about cross-curricular connections and organizational teaching systems, I am spending time with my family going on outdoor adventures!
