About the store

Experience

I was a first grade teacher who loves creating engaging, hands-on learning activities that help young students build confidence and excitement for learning. My classroom experience allows me to design resources that are practical, effective, and easy for teachers to implement. Every resource in my store has been created with real students in mind and focuses on building strong foundational skills in literacy, math, and critical thinking.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on interactive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning. I believe young learners thrive when lessons are hands-on, colorful, and fun while still reinforcing important academic standards. My resources are designed to support differentiated instruction, independent centers, and whole-group learning so teachers can meet the needs of every student in their classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my most rewarding moments as a teacher come from watching students grow in confidence and celebrate their learning successes. Whether it’s a student mastering a new reading skill, solving a challenging math problem, or proudly sharing their writing, those moments remind me why I love teaching. Creating resources that help teachers experience those same moments in their classrooms is what inspired me to start Crites & Crayons.

My own education history

I hold a degree in education and am certified to teach elementary students. My training and classroom experience have helped me develop a strong understanding of early childhood learning and the foundational skills students need to succeed academically.
