Designed for SPECIAL EDUCATION and TIER 3 students. Part 1: Students examine a paragraph that uses "then" too many times. They highlight or circle "then" every time they see it. Part 2: Students examine the SAME paragraph with transition words and phrases (and a few other small changes) and note the differences. This activity is meant to be a mini-lesson in a small group. Students can keep the Part 2 version in RED for their reference as they write independently.
