Real World Application of Area and Perimeter on a Coordinate Plane. Students are given a backyard design proposal and must provide an estimated cost of the design. Students will use area and perimeter of polygons and composite shapes. Students will need to apply the distance formula and Pythagorean theorem. Students can work as partners, groups or individual.
