Students will practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. They will also practice comparing comparing fractions, equivalent fractions, reducing fractions, mixed numbers, and improper fractions.

In this activity the students will be given a piece of the notes. There are 30 total pieces that must be filled in. There job is to go around and find a friend how has a piece and fill in the information on the sheet where it belongs. Modifications: To make this more unusual - stick the piece to each students forehead. Differentiation - Pre fill some spots to eliminate confusion for some students.

The students absolutely love an opportunity to do something different. In this activity the students get a chance to choose the problems to be worked and they get to throw a ball at the smart board. Each circle is linked to a different question. (If for some reason your students cannot throw the ball accurately they can go to the board and select the question they want to show on the screen.)
