First Graders and Second Graders will get extra practice with measuring area using this cute Valentine's Day inspired activity.
Cut the cards apart and copy enough recording sheets for each child. Students will measure the area of each either by using 1 inch colored tiles or by counting the grids (depending on what level you're child is at). Then they will record the areas for each card on answer sheet.

Print and cut the cards apart. Be sure to copy enough recording sheets for each student. Your kiddos can use snap cubes, links, teddy bears, colored tiles, etc. Cards are even measurable using inches (to the whole number). After, students will write their findings on their recording sheet.
