Use this spreadsheet to make adding up ingredient amounts and costs for a culinary class quick and easy! Input the total package cost of an ingredient and the spreadsheet will calculate specific amounts needed down to the tablespoon, cup, or whatever amount you may need. There is also a recipe amounts tab to calculate how much you need of each ingredient in order to calculate the cost. Use this spreadsheet to make adding up ingredient amounts for a culinary class quick and easy! Input the amounts of each ingredient for a recipe, and the spreadsheet will calculate the amount you need for an entire class with six kitchens all the way up to 10 classes. There is a conversion chart tab to convert measurements as well as a summary sheet to keep track of everything you need to order in one place.

This activity is a great introduction into kitchen equipment vocabulary for an introductory culinary class. Students race against a partner to be the first to find equipment on the flyswatter sheet. Students are able to associate equipment vocabulary with pictures of the equipment to learn terms. Documents can be edited to add or remove equipment to match what you have in your kitchens.
