In the story of Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Bronte, our heroine performs many job functions throughout her life as a teacher and governess in various educational settings. Using the fictional resume provided and sample interview questions sheet, students may act out a skit to imitate an interview between Jane and Mrs. Fairfax, Edward Rochester, Grace Poole, St. John Rivers or any character from any work of literature! Students should be mindful of chosen character's role within their story,

After reviewing artists and artforms in class, students are given the opportunity to illustrate or cut and paste an example of selected art work and follow provided prompts for thoughtful discussion and reflection.

This creative writing prompt allows students to use their imagination as well as demonstrate understanding of narrative writing. Students are asked to recall a dream and, in the space provided, transcribe details to the best of their ability.
