About the store

Experience

I have been in classrooms of almost all grades in elementary school. I began my teaching career as a Paraprofessional and I was able to learn from spectacular teachers. My passion is science and the middle grades. I have been teaching science for about 6 years now and 4 years teaching math. I am currently a 6th grade science and math teacher.

Teaching style

It is important to be a facilitator in the classroom in order to allow students to answer their questions by creating investigations and discussing their thoughts, experiences and observations about the real world around them. Kids are naturally curious and I like to encourage students to explore their thoughts by guiding them to discovering scientific principles through activities. Instead of telling them or giving them the answer, they experience and observe scientific principles or math concepts and patterns for themselves AND HAVE FUN doing so!
