Since 2014, I have taught 3rd - 9th grade, gifted and talented, and have been the Dean of Culture working specifically with students and their behavior needs.
This hands on project allows for groups of students to create a number line using tenths, and then explore patterns and determine a rule for comparing decimals. It allows students to deeply understand what happens between tenths, hundredths, etc., and encourages them to be able to order and compare decimals.
