About the store
Experience
I have taught for 18 years in grades 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I taught for a year for Mercy Corps at a Navajo reservation in St. Michaels, AZ, four years in Tucson, AZ, and 13 years in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Teaching style
I am a hands on teacher. The most important part of of my day is building trusting and close relationships with my kiddos. I try to create a safe and inviting classroom culture with areas and tools that provide choice and opportunities for meeting the needs of diverse learners. Flexible seating is a must in my room! I have really enjoyed creating anchor charts, bulletin boards, desk tags, and other classroom environment materials that are appealing to my learners.
My own education history
I received my BA with a Reading Endorsment at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Hello and welcome to my store! I teach 2nd grade at a Leader In Me school. I am also a mom to a 14 year old son and 6 year old daughter.
