About the store
My husband and I have a combined total of 26 years of experience in education. I have 15 years education experience ranging from 1st - 5th grade in all subject areas, but my love is creating math materials for elementary school. I have been a math facilitator for the past 5 years at a Title I school in Texas where I have learned the importance of assessing students at the level of rigor needed to increase student achievement. Writing assessments is my expertise. My husband has been teaching high school Algebra, Algebra II, and PreCal for the past 13 years helping to increase Algebra scores from 40% to 80% in some sub population groups. We love the opportunity to share what we have created to help students be more successful.

2nd Grade Math Review Quizzes #1-5
These 5 quizzes are each 10 questions. They are mostly free response with a couple of multiple choice mixed in. These quizzes are written to be aligned with the rigor of the TEKS and they emphasize problem solving.
We use these each week as a spiral review, making sure that the students are held accountable for the information we have already covered this year. As you know, if they don’t keep reviewing it, they have a tendency to forget it.

Second grade teachers always feel the pressure to prepare students for 3rd grade, when standardized testing becomes their reality. It is difficult to find quality assessments for 2nd graders.
This 20 question assessment is aligned with the TEKS and includes the following concepts:
Place Value to 999 – Read, Write, Compare, Order Numbers
Addition & Subtraction Problem Solving- including fact to 18 and 2 digit with and without regrouping

3 Digit Addition and Subtraction Problems. Practices, and Assessment
These problems are all 3 digit addition and subtraction problems, both single and multi-step. The first section is problems separated by type: Combining, Comparing, Separating, and Missing Part. The second section contain an activity for students to cut apart the problems and sort them according to addition or subtraction and then solve. There is a third section that contains missing part subtraction problems 1 and 2 step, there are 17 different missing part problems that can be used as warm

2nd Grade Math 3rd Nine Weeks Assessment
This 24 question summative assessment provides students a cumulative review of 2nd grade materials covered all year long in 2nd grade. The questions are all aligned with the TEKS and the test is in multiple choice format.
The questions include:

Whole number patterns
Extending patterns in tables and problems
Division Concepts
Multiplication Concepts

Teaching style
You will notice from my work, that I am not into anything elaborate, My focus is on creating assessments that are aligned with the Texas TEKS and are strong, rigorous problems that prepare students for the state assessment they face each year.
