My background blends a unique combination of Mathematics and Culinary Arts degrees, along with diverse real-world experience that shapes how I approach teaching and resource design. Throughout college, I worked closely with elementary students through programs like the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club. After graduation, I spent over two years supporting teens in a behavioral and mental health treatment facility, gaining valuable insight into student needs beyond academics. Before entering the classroom, I managed a restaurant with nearly 100 employees, developing leadership, organization, and communication skills that now guide my teaching practice. I entered education through an alternative certification route, which fuels my passion for supporting fellow educators—especially those in their first years or transitioning into teaching from other careers.
